Bhagwant Mann Continues Statewide Anti-Gangster Crackdown Under ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’

Punjab Police stated that 243 individuals were detained during the latest crackdown, while four proclaimed offenders were apprehended.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann continued its statewide anti-gangster campaign under the “Gangstran Te Vaar” operation, carrying out extensive raids and detentions across Punjab in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF).

According to police officials, 552 raids were conducted at identified locations during Day 121 of the operation.

Bhagwant Mann Hundreds Detained, Proclaimed Offenders Arrested

Punjab Police stated that 243 individuals were detained during the latest crackdown, while four proclaimed offenders were apprehended. Authorities also reported the recovery of one weapon during the operation.

Officials added that the total number of arrests made since the launch of the anti-gangster campaign has reached 30,964.

Campaign Targets Organized Crime Networks

The operation is part of Punjab Police’s broader effort to dismantle gangster networks, curb organized crime, and strengthen law and order in the state.

Police teams have been conducting intelligence-led raids and surveillance operations targeting individuals allegedly linked to gangs, extortion rackets, illegal weapons, and criminal activities.

Government Reiterates Commitment to Public Safety

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and senior police officials have repeatedly emphasized a zero-tolerance approach toward organized crime and gangster activities.

Authorities have also urged citizens to share information anonymously through the Anti-Gangster Helpline to support law enforcement efforts aimed at maintaining public safety across Punjab.
