In a significant move aimed at strengthening rural development and supporting needy families, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has taken a major welfare step. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government allotted 5-5 marla residential plots to 31 deserving families in Peddhni Khurd village of Patiala (Rural) on Wednesday.

Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh led the distribution ceremony and handed over the allotment letters to the beneficiaries. The initiative comes as part of the Mann Government’s continued commitment to uplift the underprivileged and improve living conditions in rural areas.

A Boost to Rural Development in Punjab

Along with the distribution of plots, Minister Balbir Singh also provided cheques worth several crores to village panchayats for local development works. The funds are expected to accelerate ongoing infrastructure and public welfare projects in Patiala’s rural belt.

Villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Mann Government, stating that the allotment of residential plots has brought new hope and stability to families who have long awaited land ownership.

Mann Government’s Welfare-Driven Governance Model

The AAP government in Punjab has been focusing heavily on social welfare, rural upliftment, and providing basic amenities to every household. Residential plots under this initiative aim to give marginalized families a secure foundation and improve their quality of life.

By prioritizing housing, sanitation, infrastructure, and livelihood support, the government aims to ensure inclusive growth across all districts.

Why This Initiative Matters

  • Provides secure housing to economically weaker families
  • Accelerates rural infrastructure development
  • Reflects AAP’s governance model centred on public welfare and grassroots empowerment
  • Enhances housing security, a key factor in social and financial stability

The distribution in Peddhni Khurd marks another milestone in Punjab’s ongoing journey toward equitable rural progress under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership.
