Bhagwant Mann Police has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking networks as part of its ongoing “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign. In the latest operation, the police arrested 95 alleged drug smugglers and recovered 36.8 kg of heroin, 240 intoxicant pills, and ₹3,370 in suspected drug money.

The operation was carried out as part of the Punjab Police’s sustained efforts against drug trafficking and in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Punjab.
Apart from enforcement action, the police also focused on rehabilitation. Seven individuals were counselled and persuaded to seek de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, highlighting the department’s approach of combining strict action against drug networks with support for people struggling with substance abuse.
