In a statement shared on social media, Cheema said that after the increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices, domestic consumers are now facing a fresh setback with a reported ₹29 rise in the price of household cooking gas cylinders. He argued that repeated fuel price increases are affecting the budgets of ordinary families across the country.

The minister questioned the central government’s handling of fuel pricing, stating that citizens had expected relief from inflation and rising energy costs.
