Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday chaired a review meeting of the state’s ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) campaign in Bathinda to assess the progress of the anti-drug initiative and strengthen its implementation across Punjab.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) from all districts through video conferencing. Punjab Cabinet Minister and AAP Punjab President Aman Arora also participated in the review.
Mann directs officials to intensify anti-drug drive
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the campaign and directed district officials to make the anti-drug drive more effective. He stressed the need for better coordination among administrative and police authorities to curb drug trafficking and improve enforcement.
Bhagwant Mann reiterated the Punjab Government’s commitment to eliminating the drug menace from the state and said the campaign would continue with a focused approach. He emphasised that strict action against drug networks, along with coordinated efforts by all departments, remains a top priority.
The state government has been conducting the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign as part of its broader strategy to combat drug abuse, strengthen law enforcement, and create a safer environment for the people of Punjab.
