Buzz Electric Scooter: Stella moto, a company that specialises in electric two-wheelers and is funded by the Jaidka Group, has released its first electric scooter, Buzz, with a base price of Rs 95,000. (ex-showroom). The company further declared that its battery safety standards had been accepted by RTO.
The company says that the electric scooter, which is equipped with a 2kW BLDC motor and a 2.16kWh lithium-ion battery, can travel more than 90km on a single charge. The manufacturer estimates its top speed at 55 kilometres per hour.
The Buzz electric scooter, the manufacturer claims, uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology that has been optimised for use in India's hot and humid climate. There are four temperature sensors embedded in the battery that shut off power if the internal temperature of the battery pack rises above a certain threshold. The battery pack also includes a "smart battery management system" that is controlled by a microprocessor, the company stated.
In terms of hardware, the Buzz electric scooter is equipped with a front disc brake and tubeless tyres on the wheels. A digital speedometer, keyless entry, USB port, cruise control, and an anti-theft system round out the list of conveniences. Buzz electric scooters have a 150-pound capacity and a ground clearance of 180 millimetres.
The Buzz will be offered in four colours (Grey, Matt Blue, Red, and Brown) for a starting price of Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). There will be a 3-year guarantee on it.
