CM Yogi Adityanath: Jobs Galore In Uttar Pradesh, 9 Lakh Aspirants Get Job, Check Details

Uttar Pradesh has crossed 9 lakh government job appointments under CM Yogi Adityanath, driven by merit-based recruitment, a booming MSME sector, and record industrial investment, making it India's leading state for public hiring.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh has crossed a significant employment milestone, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announcing that more than 9 lakh youth have secured government jobs through merit-based recruitment since his government took office. The announcement came during an appointment letter distribution ceremony at Lok Bhavan, where 481 selected candidates from the Ayush Department, Vocational Education and Skill Development Department, and the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities received their offers, the fourth such ceremony held in just 15 days.

Transparency Behind the Numbers

Adityanath attributed the scale of this hiring drive to what he called “jawabdehi, takneek aur paardarshita,” accountability, technology and transparency, in the recruitment process. He credited the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission for enabling a system where.

Industrial Growth Fuelling the Job Engine

Beyond government recruitment, the state’s broader economic expansion has played a major role in employment generation:

  • Factories in the state have grown from around 14,000 before 2017 to more than 31,000-32,000 today
  • The MSME sector now supports employment for over 3 crore people, both directly and indirectly
  • More than 4,000 large industries entered the state in the past year alone
  • Four Ground Breaking Ceremonies have translated investment proposals into roughly 60 lakh jobs so far
  • Investment proposals worth Rs 50 lakh crore could generate over 1 crore future job opportunities

From Bottom Rankings to Top Three

Adityanath noted that Uttar Pradesh, once frequently placed among the bottom-ranked states on national indices, is now counted among the top three, a shift he linked directly to the state’s job creation record and improving investor confidence. The government has also highlighted inclusive employment efforts, with over 1.75 lakh of the 9 lakh-plus jobs going to women, alongside the integration of 64.34 lakh women farmers into agricultural livelihood programmes and the expansion of the BC Sakhi scheme for rural financial inclusion.
