Delhi CM Rekha Gupta: Delhi Government Approves ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’ to Provide ₹2,500 to Women

On the occasion of International Women\’s Day, the Delhi government approved the \’Mahila Samridhi Yojana,\’ a flagship scheme aimed at empowering women through financial assistance. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that under this initiative, eligible women in Delhi will receive ₹2,500 per month.

Scheme Approved, Registration to Begin Soon

Speaking after a cabinet meeting, CM Rekha Gupta said, “Today is Women\’s Day. We had our cabinet meeting today, and our cabinet has approved the scheme—the promise that we made during the Delhi elections to provide ₹2,500 to the women. We made a provision of ₹5,100 crores in the Delhi budget for the implementation of the scheme.”

She further added that a committee has been formed under her leadership to oversee the execution of the scheme. The registration process for beneficiaries will commence soon, and a dedicated online portal will be launched to facilitate applications.

Delhi Government’s Focus on Women Empowerment

The \’Mahila Samridhi Yojana\’ is part of the Delhi government\’s broader effort to uplift women by ensuring financial independence and economic stability. The move is expected to benefit thousands of women across different sections of society, particularly those facing financial hardships.
