Delhi Metro: Good News for all the commuters travelling in Delhi Metro, the DMRC has given the nod to carry 2 liquor bottles in from now onwards as directed by the DMRC ( Delhi Metro Rail Corporation). According to the officials, as per the provision of the Airport Express Line, one person can carry two sealed bottles of liquor.
‘Liquor bottles should be properly sealed’
The committee of CISF and Delhi Metro has come out with this decision. Earlier the liquor bottles were allowed on the Airport Line, now this new rule will be applicable in all the metro lines for all passengers. The passengers have to make sure that the liquor bottles should be properly sealed. DMRC officials said that this rule was earlier there but only for the Airport line, but from now onwards it will be applicable for all the metro lines in Delhi.
‘Drinking alcohol inside Metro is still Prohibited’
However drinking alcohol inside the Metro is still prohibited. Passengers travelling in metro are expected to travel with a decorum maintained during their journey inside the coach. If any passenger found misbehaving under the influence of alcohol, then the DMRC can take proper legal action against the person.
