Google Nearby Share for Windows: With the official release of Nearby Share for Windows by Google, file sharing across Windows PCs and Android devices has never been simpler. According to a blog post on Wednesday that "Nearby Share provides an easy way to share files across your phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and more devices" with the nearly 3 billion active Android devices worldwide. When Windows PCs were added to the Nearby Share beta in March, users could link a new class of gear with nearby Android devices. "More than 1.7 million people have now installed Nearby Share for Windows, which is a free app download on PCs all over the world," it continued.

The company has seen more than 50 million files shared between PC and Android devices since launch, with images and movies being the most popular file types to send. With better performance and additional features that might make it even simpler for users to share content and stay productive, the tech giant has now officially launched the Nearby Share for Windows app. Google also updated the app with additional features. The anticipated completion time for file transfers is now displayed in the app.

When users send large files, such videos or entire folders, and want to know how quickly they will be shared, this will be useful. Additionally, device alerts now include an image preview to allow users to validate that the right file is being shared. According to the business, "we're working with partners like HP to include the Nearby Share app on select Windows PCs, such as the HP Dragonfly Pro," to make sharing between Android handsets and PCs even more effortless. It said, "We'll keep working on Nearby Share for Windows, adding new features and paying attention to your input.
