Yadav's Legal Fight against Discrimination and Triumph in the Civil Services Examination

Yadav took the civil services examination in 2008 and received a score of 208 out of 791. In contrast to what he had anticipated, he was given the opportunity to join the Indian Railway Personnel Service. He retaliated by bringing a lawsuit to stop the discrimination. After finding in his favour in 2010, the Central Administrative Tribunal ordered the Department of Personnel and Training to comply within eight weeks. But on February 14, 2012, the letter was delivered. Yadav is a lowly native of the Mahendergarh area of Haryana's Kheri village. After experiencing a severe episode of diarrhoea at age five, he lost his vision.

Yadav's Academic Journey and Determination to Pursue IAS

However, it did not harm Yadav's aspirations. He enrolled at Springdales School on Pusa Road and excelled on the Class X board exams there. He earned a political science (Hons) degree from Ramjas College of Delhi University and went on to earn an MA while holding a junior research scholarship. He additionally taught at DU's Shyamlal College. 'In 2005, I overheard the prime minister stating that those with visual impairments must be allowed access to the IAS. I suddenly knew what I wanted to do with my life,' remembers Yadav.
