‘Ironic that Islamabad is talking about rights of minorities’: India slams Pakistan

India has once again stopped speaking of Pakistan in the world’s largest forum, United Nations (UN). In the latest case, in the UNES meeting, Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto had claimed that India is turning into a Hindu nation.

In the United Nations, Pakistan tried to surround India citing minorities, but UNES Joint Secretary Srinivas Gotru, who was present there, retaliated him. When Bhutto had said that the BJP and the RSS, who are in power in the country motivated by the ideology of hatred against Muslims, are working to destroy India’s Islamic heritage, India in response said, ‘ It is a big irony that while giving lectures on minorities, Pakistan is taking the name of my country, whereas the world knows very well that how minorities are discriminated and oppressed in Pakistan, whether Hindu or Christian or anyone else. The violation of the rights of minorities in Pakistan has been going on for a long time and it has a long history, which has been seen by the whole world.’

Srinivas Gotru reprimanded Pakistan in front of the whole world and said, ‘Pakistan has almost eliminated the minorities. Pakistan is continuously violating the human rights of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Ahmadiyya Muslims by harassing them. In Pakistan, thousands of women and children, especially Hindu girls from minority communities, are abducted and forcibly converted and married off. They are beaten up for protesting and even the police and the law do not help them.’
