The Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren government is set to organise a 10-kilometre walkathon in Ranchi as part of the 72nd Wildlife Week 2026, with the event aimed at spreading awareness about wildlife, forests and environmental conservation.
According to the Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), Jharkhand, the walkathon will be held on October 4, 2026, beginning at 6:30 am.
10-Km Walkathon to Begin at Van Bhawan: Hemant Soren
The walkathon will start from the main gate of Van Bhawan in Doranda, Ranchi. The event is being organised as part of Wildlife Week activities in the state.
The initiative seeks to encourage public participation in conservation efforts and promote awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and natural ecosystems.
