Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26th July to honour the indomitable bravery and sacrifices of our soldiers who fought the Kargil war in the year 1999. It was not a battle of regaining lost land but a symbol of showing that India is strong, united, and full of patriotism.

Kargil War 1999: When India Showed the World Its Strength

In May 1999, the Kargil peaks were attempted to be occupied by the enemy troops. However, the Indian Army started operation Vijay, and in the most difficult conditions, low temperatures, rugged mountains, and continuous fire of the enemy, our men defended with exceptional courage. They neither won a war, they make history.
