Kerala Election Results 2025: The State Election Commission (SEC) of Kerala shared initial trends revealing the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) leading in 261 and 228 grama panchayats, respectively, rejecting the anticipated Suresh Gopi wave.
BJP’s expected win in the corridors of Shashi Tharoor’s Thiruvanthapuram Corporation may be seen by some as the Congressman’s continuing approval of the ruling NDA at the center.

The UDF was ahead in 7 district panchayats, 43 municipalities and 4 corporations while the LFD was leading in 1 corporation, 6 district panchayats and 26 municipalities. On the other hand, the BJP-led NDA was ahead in 1 corporation, 3 municipalities and 15 grama panchayats. NDA is presently leading in Thiruvanthapuram Corporation while NDA and UDF won one seat each in Thrissur Corporation. BJP is likely to emerge as the single largest party in Palakkad municipality. Twenty20 maintains lead in all but one of 21 wards in Kizhakkambalam.
Mary Vincent N.G. of UDF is maintaining a comfortable lead over BJP’s Rachana in Kadamakudy division of Ernakulam district panchayat.
KPCC President Says UDF Close To Historic Victory
The United Democratic Front is inching towards a historic victory as per Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunny Joseph. He added the election results are a testament to public rejection of the anti-state policies of the state government that were effectively exposed by the UDF during the campaign.
Twenty20 is likely to retain Aikkaranadu panchayat in Ernakulam district by leading in 11 seats and winning five wards.
