Kosi River Bridge Nears Completion, Asia’s Longest River Bridge to Boost Connectivity Between Madhubani and Supaul

A big moment in the history of Bihar in terms of infrastructure is on the cards! It has an upcoming long river bridge, named the Kosi River Bridge, which is going to be the longest river bridge in Asia. It is a 13.3 km long bridge being built over the Kosi River between the districts of Madhubani and Supaul in the state of Bihar.

A Game-Changing Project for Bihar

The Kosi River Bridge will directly connect backward and flood-prone regions of North Bihar to Patna via NH-27, a blessing to scores of daily commuters and locals alike once in place. One of the most significant advantages of this bridge is that it will shorten the distance travelled to 44 km, which will save time, fuel, and effort for the people who used to come earlier to the capital through other longer routes.

Engineering Marvel in the Making

It\’s not just a road, it is an engineering excellence. Constructed on one of the most flooded rivers of the nation, the Kosi River Bridge will bring about better connectivity, growth, and economic prosperity in the area. It is likely to create avenues of improved trade, travel, and provision of key services to distant regions.

Boost to Regional Development

Madhubani and Supaul are the areas that are always affected by floods and do not have the necessary connectivity with the mainstream; the situation has now changed. Some of the beneficiaries of this project include farmers, students, patients, and businesses in the area.
