Maruti Alto K10: The new model has ravishing interiors and exciting exteriors, all you need to know about K10

Maruti Alto K10: Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the Alto K10. It is among the most crucial vehicles for the business. As we discovered in our first drive review, it is undoubtedly a crowd-pleaser. and has a starting price of Rs. 3.99 lakh, catering to the general public.

The allure of the Rs. 3.99 lakh pricing is what draws customers to showrooms. But when compared to top-spec versions, that price is connected with the base STD form and seems a little basic. For Rs. 3.99 lakh, what precisely does one receive with the STD variant? Let’s look at it.

Maruti Alto K10: Walkaround

The dimensions and specs of the base STD model are the same right away. STD is identical to other variations in terms of design. The variations are in how STD variant is carried out. Along with the ORVMs and door handles, both bumpers are currently unpainted. Additionally, front power windows and remote locking are not available on Maruti Suzuki Alto STD models.

Even the lack of power steering, which is sort of expected in cars in 2022, is shocking. Air conditioning is not available on STD trims either. It has AC controls in the centre console, but since there isn’t a compressor for the AC to function, they just manage the blower. Compared to top models, it receives seat upholstery of poorer quality. It lacks a parcel shelf around the boot, leaving the majority of the top variant-covered components visible. Additionally, STD trim is devoid of any form of infotainment system and speaker equipment. The steering wheel-mounted controls are likewise eliminated when there is no infotainment system.

Maruti Alto K10: Specifications and Price

In terms of specifications, it has a 1.0L K10 engine that can provide 66 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The key selling point of this engine is its fuel efficiency, which is 24.39 km/l. Good, huh? The smallest car currently available is the Alto K10. Datsun Redi Go formerly held this title. After the Alto 800, of course, the Alto K10 is also the most affordable car in India. Even the Kwid is priced at 4.64 lakh rupees (ex-sh).

The STD base variant has an appealing tag price of Rs. 3.99 lakh (ex-sh). But it makes sense to spend extra money on the LXi variant given what it offers. VXi Plus AGS, the highest model, costs Rs. 5.84 lakh (ex-sh). WagonR, Alto 800, S-Presso, and similar vehicles from Maruti’s portfolio compete against the Alto K10.
