MG 4 EV: In the most recent round of safety tests by Euro NCAP, the MG 4 EV did very well, getting a 5-star rating. The midsize electric hatchback was revealed to the public for the first time in July of this year, and MG India will exhibit the MG 4 EV at the Auto Expo 2023.
If it were to be introduced into the Indian market, the MG 4 EV hatchback would compete with other electric vehicles such as the BYD Atto 3 and the Kona Electric facelift.

About MG 4 Electric vehicle
The MG 4 EV was made to be an electric car from the start. It is based on the modular, scalable platform of its parent company, SAIC, and the battery pack is a part of that platform. The MG 4 can be bought with either a 51kWh or a 64kWh battery pack. The first one has 170hp, while the second one has 203hp. Both are rated at 250Nm of torque, and both have a single motor that drives the back wheels.
When it comes to charging, a 7kW AC charger can bring the batteries of the MG 4 EV from 10% to 100% in 7.5 hours for the 51kWh battery pack and 9 hours for the 64kWh battery pack. But with a 150kW charger, the batteries can be charged from 10% to 80% in 35 minutes and from 80% to 100% in 39 minutes.

Plan to launch MG 4 EV in India
MG India is in the process of evaluating a market launch for the 4 EVs, and it is possible that the vehicle will arrive in India either as a completely built unit (CBU) or as a completely knocked down unit (CKD). If it does arrive in India, the MG 4 EV may be introduced after the Air EV.
