NCIB: Sell your old mobile phones with caution, scamsters can use them for cyber crimes

NCIB: You are making the biggest blunder of your life if you are judging an old, broken phone to be useless. A group of online criminals is now acquiring these cell phones. In the course of a police inquiry, the accused turns out to be the one in whose name the mobile phone is registered first. Cybercriminals are repairing old mobile phones and using them for online fraud and other illegal activities. In consideration of this, the Maharajganj Cyber Cell Police have been informing people about the ban on such cases.

NCIB: Cybercriminals buy old phones from rural areas

In favour of fruits, cash, and other stuff, a group of cybercriminals from Maharajganj are currently hawking in villages and purchasing outdated mobile phones. Due to a small amount of greed, rural ladies and people, who are uninformed about cybercrime, sell the unused mobile phones that are lying around the house. These gang members buy cell phones directly from cybercriminals after collecting them from rural areas. In this instance, the accused activates the outdated and defective mobile phone by fixing the fault. The next partners receive the mobile when it has been activated, and they use it for internet fraud.
