Swiggy’s 2025 report (the 10th edition of How India Swiggy’d) has revealed that 93 million biryanis were ordered by Swiggy users in 2025. This is equivalent to 194 biryani plates per minute (3.25 per second). Chicken version dominated the category of the most-ordered food items with 57.7 million orders and the highest repeat rates.

The next top dishes were Burgers followed with 44.2 million orders, Pizzas at 40.1 million and Veg dosa at 26.2 million.
