Nikitha Godishala: Maryland Police has remarked that they have zeroed down the suspect behind the killing of Nikitha Godishala, a 27-year-old resident of Ellicott City.
Police said the suspect is Arjun Sharma, the boyfriend of Nikitha. Presently, Howard County Police is working with federal law enforcement agencies in the United States to trace and arrest Sharma.
Boyfriend’s Fake Tears
On January 2, Arjun filed a complaint that his girlfriend had been missing ever since New Year Eve. He is likely to fled to India before police found the body in Sharma’s Columbia flat.
Police remarked Nikitha had suffered multiple stab wounds.
What Possibly Caused The Murder?
Saraswati Godishala, the sister of Nikitha, claimed that Arjun requested money on December 27 from her and Nikitha. Saraswati added she transferred $4,500 to Arjun of which he returned back $3,500 and he contacted her again on January 2 seeking more money to which she refused.
Saraswati went on to add that Arjun made unauthorized transactions of approximately $3,500 from the bank account of Nikitha before he left the United States, citing a hand injury and urgent medical treatment. She said Arjun reached India on January 4, 2026 around 2:30 am.
