Yoga Guru Ramdev is in the news nowadays regarding his statements on allopathic medicines in the Corona period.
Ramdev Baba has earlier said “allopathy is stupid”.
On Wednesday, a video of yoga guru Ramdev went viral on social media, in which he appears to challenge the authorities to arrest him.
Earlier in the day, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding immediate treason accusations on Yog-guru Ramdev for challenging the government’s protocol for treatment of Covid-19 and for carrying out a campaign of alleged misinformation on vaccination. A case should be registered against Baba Ramdev.
In the 40 second video, Swami Ramdev is seen saying, “Khair arrest to unka koi baap bhi nahi har sakta Swami Ramdev ko…lekin ek shor macha rahey hain…ki arrest Swami Ramdev…kabhi kuch chala detey hai, ki arrest Ramdev…Thug Ramdev…Kabi maha thug Ramdev…Kabi giraftaar Ramdev…chalate rahe hai..chalane do (’No one ..in fact no one’s father can arrest Swami Ramdev…but they are making noise… arrest Ramdev, Thug Ramdev…They are following trends …let them)”
Baba has not named anyone in the video.
After the intervention of the Union Minister, the way the statements are coming face to face from both the sides, the controversy seems to be growing rather than halting.
The controversy between Baba Ramdev and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) after the statement on allopathy is not taking its name to a standstill.
After a defamation notice of Rs 1,000 crore, the IMA has now filed a complaint against the yoga guru in Delhi. On behalf of the IMA, the Secretary-General, Dr. Jayesh Lele has filed this complaint.
In the complaint given in Delhi’s IP State Police Station, IMA said “Swami Ramdev is raising doubts about the vaccine in the minds of people, obstructing the work of government employees”.
The complaint letter further states, ‘Ramdev and his associates have done wrong work to harm the medical community and the general public. Those involved with Ramdev in this conspiracy should be investigated. An FIR should be registered in this regard’.
