Online Banking Fraud: Know the whole story
A caller claiming to be from a private bank employee and working to defend account holders from cyber frauds called a 56-year-old man who lives in Nagpur. This individual introduced himself as a bank employee before beginning to speak. People were tricked into providing their debit card and bank information by the scammer, who also asked for their personal information relating to banking. The fraudster immediately removed 9.66 lakhs from the victim's account after receiving information from the Nagpur resident.
What should you do to be safe?
The first error this Nagpur resident made was to assume that banks always warn account holders through TV advertisements and other means that the bank does not ask you for your personal information like bank card or other details through calls, messages, or emails. Even when they are aware of the deception, consumers frequently fall for the con artist's remarks and forget to divulge their banking information, for which they ultimately face the responsibility.
