Passport News: Urgent Notice! More Than 10000 Applications Face Closure, Check Out How to Overcome Disappointment

In 13 districts of Western Uttar Pradesh, including two major NCR cities, the files of over 10,000 passport applications would be closed by the Regional Passport Office Ghaziabad. Visit the passport office to obtain information about your application. Additionally, you will understand why your file is being closed.

Pre-Notice Alerts for Applicants

These applicants will receive notice from the office beforehand, and if they do not get in touch with us within the allotted period, their files will be closed. Such applicants will need to reapply and pay new application costs. There is a push underway to terminate the backlog at the passport office. so as not to hold any passports.

Files on Hold Due to Identified Flaws

Anuj Swarup, Regional Passport Officer, IFS, Ghaziabad, stated that the files have been placed on hold after flaws were discovered prior to 2023. The applicants are receiving notices for this. However, the applicants have not shown up to have the shortcomings fixed, even after receiving the notification. They are now receiving a last notice. Within 30 days, these files will be closed.

Missing Documents Create Uncertainty
