Understanding PPF

Key Features of PPF

Premature Closure for NRIs
For Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), premature closure of PPF accounts is possible after five years from the date of opening. NRIs need to submit relevant documents to their bank or post office to initiate the closure process, albeit with a slight reduction in the interest rate.
