Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has given a strong assurance to the people of the state regarding the ration card issue. He stated that the central government is planning to cut more than 8 lakh ration cards in Punjab, which could leave nearly 32 lakh people deprived of ration benefits.

The Chief Minister underlined his government’s resolve by saying: “We will not let the fire of anyone’s kitchen be extinguished. As long as I am Punjab’s Chief Minister, no ration card will be cut.”
