Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that the ‘Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill, 2026’ has officially become law after receiving assent from Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.

The bill was earlier passed by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on April 13, 2026, and has now been formally approved by the Governor on April 17, 2026, completing the legislative process.
