Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government has rolled out a special health initiative aimed at strengthening medical outreach in rural areas. On Saturday, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora flagged off dedicated medical teams from the Civil Hospital in Sunam to provide door-to-door healthcare services in the Udham Singh Wala region of the Sunam constituency.

The medical teams will visit households to conduct health check-ups, diagnose common illnesses, and distribute necessary medicines free of cost. Officials said the initiative is designed to make healthcare accessible to those who face challenges in reaching hospitals due to distance, age, or financial constraints.

Speaking about the move, Aman Arora emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring no citizen is left behind in matters of health. “Our priority is people’s well-being. These teams will help detect illnesses early, provide treatment, and also spread awareness about preventive care,” he noted.
Residents of the area expressed gratitude, calling it a timely and people-centric step. For many villagers, this initiative means they will not have to travel long distances for basic medical consultation and medicines.
This campaign is part of the Punjab government’s larger focus on strengthening the healthcare sector under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann. In recent months, the state has seen several measures directed at upgrading rural hospitals, improving infrastructure, and expanding access to medicines and diagnostics.
