Sanjay Raut on General MM Naravane After Rahul Gandhi Speech
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Raut claimed that the former Army General may not be safe after the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi tried to cite his unpublished book “4 Stars of Destiny”.
Interestingly, the book cannot be cited as it has not been formally authenticated or published. Lok Sabha Speaker Sanjay Raut on General MM NaravaneBirla ruled that magazine articles or unpublished books that are not directly related to the House Proceedings cannot be read out in the Lok Sabha.

What The Rulebook Says?
Under the Indian Army regulations, senior officials are barred from revealing crucial leadership decisions or classified information, even long after retirement.
Under the Official Secrets Act, senior officials of the Indian Army are barred from sharing information or book that includes classified information. Under the regulations, publishing of secret content requires prior clearance from the Union Government that Narvane failed to get before sending the book for publishing.
The Indian Government can take strict legal action if the said rules are violated. As per CCS (Pension) Rules, the government is entitled to withhold all or part of the concerned military official’s pension.
Sonam Wangchuk
Sonam Wangchuk – the inspiration behind the highly successful movie 3 Idiots – was put behind bars by the government after he tried to instigate Nepal-like Gen Z protests in India. Wangchuk has been blamed for inciting violence in the nation by referring to Arab Spring and Bangladesh in his speeches.
Gitanjali Angmo, the wife of Sonam Wangchuk, said her husband has been wrongly accused and silenced before he promoted development. Sonam led a protest for constitutional and statehood safeguards in Ladakh that soon turned violent, causing the death of four civilians.
