Renault Nissan India surpasses 25 lakh production milestone in 13 years; conquers over 108 markets

Renault Nissan India: The Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited (RNAIPL) joint venture between Renault and Nissan has been conducting business in India for the past 13 years. After 13 years, the group has produced 25 lakh vehicles under both automakers’ brand names.

Company surpasses 25 lakhs production

In total, approximately 20 distinct cars were produced during this time at the business’s factory in Chennai, according to the group. Furthermore, 11.5 lakh of the 25 lakh vehicles were shipped to 108 various markets in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, SAARC nations, and sub-Saharan Africa. The remaining 15 lakh units of this group milestone were for Nissan vehicles, which were recently celebrated as reaching a 10-lakh unit production milestone for Renault.

It offers only four models

Renault-Nissan only offers four models at this time. In the Indian market, Nissan has just one model, the Magnite, but Renault has the Kiger, Triber, and Kwid. However, the company intends to introduce 6 new models, including 2 EVs, and grow operations in India in order to do so. To do so, the company would invest Rs 5,300 crore in the nation.

Renault Nissan India: Know about the future plans

The Renault Nissan Alliance said earlier this year that it would invest $600 million, or Rs. 5300 crores, in India to launch new products and technology, as well as increase manufacturing and RD operations. The creation of six new vehicles, including two totally electric vehicles made at RNAIPL, is one of the Alliance’s future priorities. These initiatives will increase plant utilisation overall and safeguard tens of thousands of jobs for years to come.
