SC sets aside HC order to summon IPS officer Lamba in Asaram Bapu Case

The Supreme Court quashed the Rajasthan High Court's order summoning IPS Ajay Pal Lamba in connection with the rape of a minor in Jodhpur against Asaram Bapu.

A bench headed by Justice Sanjeev Khanna gave this order.

The bench directed the Rajasthan High Court to expeditiously hear Asaram's appeal. On February 10, the Supreme Court had reserved its decision on the Rajasthan government's petition against the High Court's decision.
