A regrettable incident took place in Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh, as a bulldozer passed through the blocked road on National Highway 5 Jabli. It became uncontrollable and plunged down a deep ditch of 300 meters. The entire incident was caught on camera, and the video went viral on social media.

A wake-up call now making its rounds on the internet shows a bulldozer sliding down a precipitous mountainside attempting to clear a road that was blocked by a landslide. That car went out of control due to rocks that fell on the hill, causing the sad death.
Rescue Attempt Caught on Camera
Soon after the bulldozer fell, a man was seen climbing down the broken hill to help the injured driver. Sadly, even after trying hard to save him, the driver died at the hospital.
Rain Causing Big Loss in Hill Areas
The accident is a part of a much larger issue occurring in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, with heavy rains during the monsoon being the cause of floods, landslides, and clogging of roads. All these weather-related problems have resulted in a total of 179 people killed, 101 of them died as a result of rain-related disasters such as landslides and floods, whereas 78 died as a result of road accidents because of dilapidated and dangerous roads.
Damage Report Due to Heavy Rain
Between June 20 and August 2, massive rains left enormous destruction in Himachal Pradesh. According to SDMA, 403 roads have been blocked, 411 electricity transformers are not functioning, and 196 water supply systems are also stopped.
