TV anchor Rubika Liiyaquat's mother passes away due to COVID-19

TV Anchor Rubika Likayat's mother has passed away due to COVID-19. Anchor shared the information on her twitter handle.

“Mother will no longer be close, now mother will be in me,” the journalist wrote in her tweet, sharing the news of her mother’s demise," tweeted Rubika.

Rubika's mother was a scientist and PhD in environmental science, breathed her last in Udaipur, Rajasthan. “Fatma earned so much love that those who follow every religion prayed with devotion,” Amar Liyaquat, the late scientist’s husband shared.

Dr. Fatima was COVID positive on May 12 and her daughter Rubika also shared the information on her twitter handle.

“Mother’s real battle has started. She needs prayers.”

India reported more than 1.73 lakh new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours with 3,617 deaths.
