‘Unsafe but Still Open’ Rajasthan School Building Collapse Sparks National Outrage

The single-story government school in Piplodi village fell in the morning of July 25, 2025, around 8:30 a.m. IST, while classes were still going on. It\’s estimated that four children died and seventeen were hurt. From what the news says, about 40 kids and staff may have been trapped under the rubble at the height of the danger.

Rescue efforts and what to do in an emergency

People in the area, school staff, and district disaster aid teams got to work right away, along with police and NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) officials. JCBs and other heavy equipment were used to clear the area of rubble, and rescue efforts went on around the clock.

Condition of the Hurt Person

Ten of the hurt children were taken to hospitals in Jhalawar, where three to four were said to be in bad condition. Some people are getting care at Manohar Thana Hospital.

Warning Signs for Structural Negligence
