A gradual fall in minimum temperature by 2°C is highly likely over the plains of Northwest India, and rise by 2-4°C thereafter subsequent 4 days.
Country Weather Update December 11 2025
Several states, including Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh recorded temperatures significantly below normal, with some areas reporting departures of more than 5 degrees Celsius below normal.
Squally weather is expected to continue over the Gulf of Mannar and Comorin region.
Dense Fog & Cold Wave Warnings
Intense cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Punjab and Chhattisgarh. Haryana and Marathawada are also likely to experience intense cold waves on December 11 and 12.
Dense fig conditions are expected to prevail during early morning hours in isolated pockets of Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab.
Dense Fog Across Northeast And East India
For the next 2-4 days, visibility will remain a big challenge for Northeast and East India. Dense to moderate fog is expected in parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Assam, East Uttar Pradesh and Meghalaya.
