Bengal Assembly Election 2026: BJP Promises 7th Pay Commission And Durga Squad! Would Mamata Banerjee Have A Cakewalk Win?

Bengal Assembly Election 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced that it would implement the 7th Pay Commission for West Bengal’s state government employees and set up a “Durga Squad” for safeguarding the female population of the state if the party comes to power in the state. According to several media reports, Mamata Banerjee would find it a bit difficult to crush her opposition parties.

Bengal Assembly Election 2026-Comments By Defence Minister

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of plunging West Bengal into lawlessness.

The Defence Minister accused the ruling TMC of presiding over a climate of corruption, lawlessness and fear. Singh also claimed that investors and industries have long left the state because of insecurity, widespread corruption and lack of government support.

Singh while addressing an election rally in Sainthia in Birbhum district remarked that India was progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kangana Ranaut Blasts Mamata Banerjee

In another development, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has blasted Mamata Banerjee for his absolute failure to maintain proper law and order in the state of West Bengal. Ranaut claimed that West Bengal has failed to protect its daughters and mothers as TMC goons actively harass and molest them.

The Lok Sabha MP also criticized the West Bengal CM for opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. Ranaut added that lakhs of names have been removed previously to form favourable governments. Ranaut added that SIR is an open and transparent process to take action against infiltrators.

Ranaut questioned why the chief minister of West Bengal feels the pain of illegal immigrants who are only doing harm to the country.
