Iran US Tensions-Why Are Combat Aircraft Deployed In Israel?
The combat aircraft deployment in Israel comes in the backdrop of a refusal by countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to allow any US forces to leverage their airspaces for potential airstrikes on Iran. The refusal has significantly limited options for the United States in basing their aircrafts required if a major operation is required.
Elliott Abrams, a former special envoy for Iran during the first tenure of Donald Trump, remarked the deployment of combat aircraft deployment in Israel is because of the refusal by many countries to allow the United States of America to use their bases and the growing cooperation between Israel and the United States.
JD Vance Warns Iran
United States Vice President JD Vance has issued a strict warning to Iran and the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei regime. Vance remarked that Iran is a terror state and could not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons in any form. The US Vice President also commented that while President Trump is keen to solve things “diplomatically”, he would not shy from using military action.
Vance added that the United States cannot allow the worst and craziest regime in the world to possess nuclear weapons. The US VP also commented that he believes the Iran would make sense when they get on the table to discuss a deal with the United States else there may be serious repercussions.
