PM Modi Rally In Kerala

Modi started his tour of South with a rally in Thiruvananthapuram. He launched an all-out attack on the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government.

The Prime Minister accused the government of Kerala in a web of misgovernance, corruption and dangerous appeasement politics. Modi urged people to choose a pro-good governance administration while addressing a rally at the Putharikandam Maidan.

PM Modi also flagged off 3 Amrit Bharat trains and a passenger train. In an event attended by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, PM Modi unveiled a series of development projects. He launched a UPI-linked, interest-free revolving credit facility in the form of PM SVANidhi Credit Card.

Modi went on to accuse the CPI(M)-led ruling alliance of creating challenges in the implementation of a series of central government schemes. The NDA Chief added the alliance is obstructing the implementation of piped water project and the PM Awas Yojana (Urban) while also preventing underprivileged children from accessing state-of-the-art schools.

PM Modi went on to blast the Vijayana-led government over the gold case pertaining to Sabarimala Temple. Modi remarked the traditions of Lord Ayyappa have been tarnished by the sitting government and our government once voted in power would put the culprits in jail.

In the electoral landscape of Kerala, the Bhartiya Janata Party has historically struggled. However, times are changing now. A few weeks back, BJP won in Thiruvananthapuram and has now the first Mayor from the party in Kerala.

Modi shared the stage with state BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, BJP’s Thiruvananthapuram mayor VV Rajesh and NDA convener Tushar Vellappally.
