Rahul Gandhi: Quite Ridiculous, LoP Lives In Mirage! Commerce Minister Blasts Congress Leader’s Comments On India US Trade Deal

Rahul Gandhi: Piyush Goyal remarked that the Indian government has carefully safeguarded all sensitive sectors such as agriculture and energy. Goyal added that the India US trade deal is a win-win solution for both the countries.

Rahul Gandhi: The Minister of Commerce and Industry of India has blasted comments by Rahul Gandhi, the leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, saying that the LoP lives in a world far from the reality.

Comments Of Rahul Gandhi

Recently, Rahul Gandhi had posted on X that India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sold off the country to the United States President Donald Trump. Gandhi remarked that the rights of Indian farmers have not been respected and sold off to greed of the United States.

The LoP also commented that India has promised to increase the amount of US exports by $100 billion every year without getting any reciprocal commitment in return.

Respond Of Piyush Goyal

Replying to this, Piyush Goyal remarked that the Indian government has carefully safeguarded all sensitive sectors such as agriculture and energy. Goyal added that the India US trade deal is a win-win solution for both the countries.

In another development, Piyush Goyal remarked that the free trade agreements (FTAs) of India with Oman and the United Kingdom could get implemented in the month of April 2026. Goyal also remarked that the FTA with New Zealand is likely to be implemented in the month of September 2026.

Goyal remarked that interim trade agreement’s legal text in the context of the India US trade deal would get started on February 23 in a 3-day meeting between officials from India and USA.

Goyal also nullified the concerns of investors over the future of the country’s information technology sector. The Commerce Minister remarked that India’s tech firms would play a pivotal role in the growth and development of artificial intelligence. Over the last few weeks, the shares of Indian IT companies have been falling dramatically, especially after introduction of new AI-powered platforms by firms like Anthropic.
