West Bengal Assembly Election 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while speaking in the support of BJP candidate Anupam Biswas from the Kalyani Assembly Constituency said that the state of West Bengal would be made free from “land jihad” and “love jihad.” Yogi Adityanath added that the Bharatiya Janata Party would defeat the party of Mamata Banerjee this time.

Yogi Adityanath remarked that the safety of sisters, mothers and daughters in the state would be given utmost priority. PM Modi Optimistic About BJP’s Big Win

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the residents of West Bengal to go all out against the TMC so they can get freedom from their atrocities. Modi said people should vote for BJP to bring an end to TMC’s corruption, fear, jungle raj, unemployment, rioters and infiltrators. Modi announced that he will now return to the state of West Bengal when BJP forms the state government. Expressing high optimism, Modi remarked that he will return for the BJP government’s oath-taking ceremony.

In an interesting development, the sale of orange (Bhagwa)-coloured powder (abir) has grown exponentially in the state of West Bengal.

Several reports from Bara Bazaar in Kolkata revealed that the sales of green powder have declined while the demand for orange powder is rising rapidly ahead of the election result. During elections, heavy orders for colours are received by Bara Bazaar traders. These colours are used by political parties for celebrations.

Traders commented that the demand for orange and green colours in percentages is 90 and 10 percent, respectively. Many in the political circles believe that the BJP is about to bring an end to the long reign of the TMC and Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.
