After Yuvraj, now Pollard hits six sixes in T20I format

The veteran West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard has registered his name in history books. He hit six sixes in an over to guide his team to a comprehensive four-wicket win against mighty Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka scored just 131 runs in their quota of 20 overs with debutant Pathum Nissanka scoring the top score of 39 from 34 deliveries.

The home side began their defence with Akila Danajaya claiming a hat-rick in the fourth over by dismissing Evin Lewis for 28 and then Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran.

But in the sixth over when the captain Kieron Pollard came in to bat something miracle took place. Pollard has smashed six sixes in an over to the night’s top spinner.

With this he also became third international and second T20I player to achieve this feat.

Before Pollard only Yuvraj Singh has only achieved this feat in T20I cricket which was back in 2007.
