Ahmed Shehzad Blames Babar Azam For Loss Against India, Says 'Aapne Logon Ko Pagal Banaya;’ Watch

Babar Azam is in a world of trouble as Pakistan is on the verge of getting knocked out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He is getting criticized from all over the world and everyone is questioning his captaincy.

Not only Babar but the whole team is getting criticized for their performance and harmony in the dressing room. Various former Pakistani players have come out and bombarded the team over their performance.

Former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad joined the list as he lambasted Babar and his leadership quality. He even went on to say that Babar had fooled the entire nation with his performance against the minnows.

'Babar Azam Has Fooled Everyone'

Shehzad lashed out without worry about repercussions. He stated "Jab se Babar Azam captain hain, hum bohat mediocre, sorry for using this word, teams se haar rahe hain (ever since Babar became captain, we have been losing to mediocre teams)."

The problem for the Pakistan team is not limited to their on-field performances only. Their dressing room environment has also been getting worse with each passing day. The tension between Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam is just one example of that.

Shehzad commented on that as well and stated "The kind of progress that was going on, these things were on the cards and bound to happen someday."

Take Some Resposibility

Shehzad minced no words and criticized all the experienced players on the team. "There are players who have been taking care of the team for the last 4-5 years, who take all the decisions. So wasn't it their duty to take the responsibility of ensuring that the team chases down 120 to win such an important match against India?"

He further commented that Babar has scored big knocks against the minnows' team in cricket and has fooled everyone with those performances. Pakistan are set to face Canada in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to keep their qualification hope alive.
