India won the fourth Test against England by 157 runs to go 2-1 in the five-match Test series. The hosts required 368 runs to win the fourth Test match at Oval and their openers gave a 100-run first wicket stand but later, the middle order choked to Indian bowlers.
Shardul Thakur was the star performer for India in the foruth Test match he scored fifties in both innings and took four wickets in total.
Rohit Sharma scored his eight Test hundred, first overseas in India’s second innings. The opener got 127 runs and gave a 83-run opening stand with his mate KL Rahul for the first wicket.
India are now 2-1 up in the series and with this victory Virat Kohli also became the first Indian captain to register 3 Test victories in England- two in this series- one in 2018.
