Cheteshwar Pujara: Prominent cricket player Cheteshwar Pujara and his wife recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. This meeting took place ahead of Pujara’s upcoming 100th Test match, which is set to start on Friday against Australia. Pujara shared some pictures from the meeting on his Twitter account and thanked the Prime Minister for his support and encouragement before this significant milestone.

The Prime Minister congratulated Pujara and wished him good luck for his 100th Test match, expressing his delight in hosting the player and his wife during the meeting. Taking to Twitter, Pujara wrote, “It was an honour to meet our Hon. Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji. I will cherish the interaction and encouragement ahead of my 100th Test. Thank you @PMOIndia.”

Cheteshwar Pujara, a key player for the Indian Test cricket team, made his debut against Australia in October 2010. Over the course of his 99 Test appearances, he has scored a total of 7021 runs, which includes 19 centuries and 34 half-centuries. When he reaches his 100th Test, he will become the 13th Indian player to achieve this milestone.

Cheteshwar Pujara ‘s brilliant test records

In his first 11 Tests, Pujara showcased his talent by scoring a brilliant 72 and two double centuries. One of his best performances was during India’s 2018-19 tour of Australia, where he emerged as the leading run-scorer with 521 runs from seven innings. Thanks in part to Pujara’s sensational show, India won the four-match series 2-1 against Australia.

Pujara is known for his tenacity and determination, which was exemplified when he became the only Indian player to face 500 deliveries in a single innings. He accomplished this feat in March 2017 against Australia at Ranchi, scoring 202 runs off 525 balls, surpassing Rahul Dravid’s record of 495 balls faced while scoring 270 runs against Pakistan at Rawalpindi in 2004.
