The Indian cricket team faced its second straight loss in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022 on Tuesday against Sri Lanka. India failed to defend the target of 170 runs. India has set a target of 174 for Sri Lanka; Sri Lanka chased the target with 6 wickets and one ball left. This match repeated the scenes of India’s loss against Pakistan because the last two overs changed the whole game in this match also.

Pacers were lacking

Choosing Bhuvneshwar Kumar to play in Asia Cup 2022 is proving wrong for India because he is very ineffective in the death overs. India is paying the cost of his bad performance. Due to Bhuvneshwar’s bowling, Arshdeep’s best efforts are also going in vain as he had just 6 runs to defend in both of the matches.

How can India qualify?

The Lankans are almost in the final after their second win and India would need Sri Lanka to beat Pakistan with a very big margin but If Pakistan beat Afghanistan then all roads will be closed for India. India needs Pakistan to lose by a big margin against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. If all this happens and India defeats Afghanistan in their last match then they can make it to the finals for sure.
