Asia Cup 2023: A historic moment for Nepal cricket as they got their first wicket in the history of the Asia Cup. It is a lot of first for the Nepal team as this is the first time they are participating in this tournament.

The Rhinos qualified for the tournament after defeating UAE in the finals of the qualifiers. It has been an amazing journey for the Nepal team as they have reached such heights in less time.

Their start to the Asia Cup 2023 was amazing as well as they struck their first wicket in the history of the tournament pretty easily. It was a reward for the disciplined line and length they bowled from the start.

Fakhrar Zaman Became The Historic Wicket

Zaman had a brilliant start as he hit two boundaries in the first over. He started playing sensibly after that and was looking to build a solid partnership with Imam-ul-Haq. But Karan KC had different ideas.

Karan KC was angry at his fielder as a catch was dropped in the gully area. But he soon made a comeback. A good length outswining delivery tempted Zaman and he played a drive that resulted in a thick edge.

Aasif Sheikh took a brilliant diving catch at the wicketkeeper position to make sure that the catch was not dropped this time. Just like that Karan made history for Nepal cricket and made sure his name would be in the history books.
