Asia Cup 2023: Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja revealed that the team management has already finalised India’s playing XI combination for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. His statement came after India lost the second ODI against West Indies. The decision to rest top players like Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma faced criticism as Team India suffered a six-wicket defeat against Shai Hope’s squad. Despite the backlash, Jadeja stood by the management’s choices. Team India also won the series later by 2-1.
What did Ravindra Jadeja say for Asia Cup 2023?
Jadeja continued to state that the team management is already well-aware of the ideal combination and lineup for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. He emphasized that everything has already been decided regarding the playing XI combination.
Star all-rounder Jadeja stated, “Captain and team management knows what combination they are going to play. There is no confusion at all. We didn’t lose the match because of the experiments, sometimes the wicket condition in both the halves also plays a big role.” He added, “One should not come to any conclusion on the basis of one match. The management has already decided what should be the playing XI combination for the Asia Cup.”

The eagerly awaited Asia Cup 2023 is set to kick off on August 30 and will run until September 17. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and serve as a preparation for the World Cup.
