Asian Games 2023: The 19th Asian Games will kick off on September 23rd in Hangzhou, China. There is a different kind of excitement for this year's continental tournament as the competition will be fierce.

The opening ceremony will be a huge spectacle and will take place at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium. You know the ceremony will be tremendous when the stadium is also known as 'Blue Lotus.'

The sensational stadium has a capacity of 80,000 spectators and was constructed as a football stadium initially. There will be lots of beautiful ceremonies in the event that might steal your heart.

The event will pay tribute to China's cultural heritage and will show the nation's undying spirit. There will also be events including Artificial Intelligence which will promote environmentally friendly technologies.

The opening ceremony will start at 5:30 PM Indian Standard Time and it will go on for almost 3 hours. We will see flag bearers from all the nations and there will be representatives from every country as well.

Huge Indian Contingent

Indian Olympic Association has announced a 655-member contingent for India which will also involve the cricket team for the first time. Hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh and Olympic bronze medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain.

This is the largest Indian delegation ever sent to the Asiad Games and there are lots of hopefuls for a gold medal or at least a podium finish as well. This tournament will also be crucial as it will also serve as a qualifier for the Paris Olympics 2024.
