Asian Games 2023: India has had a flying start to this year's Asiad. With the tagline, 'Iss Baar 100 Ke Paar,' the Indian contingent is looking to get their best-ever finish in Asian Games history.
They are on the right course as Indian athletes secured two gold medals on Monday with many main events still pending. The day started with a bang when Aishwary Pratap Singh, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Rudrankksh Patil claimed the top spot in the 10m air rifle men’s team event.
After that Rowing team was on fire once again and continued on their route from the first day. They secured 5 medals in rowing and equaled their best event medal tally at the Asian Games. Sadly, a gold medal eluded them but they can still be proud.
After that Indian women's cricket team, who were participating in the Asian Games for the first time, secured the second gold medal. This has resulted in India jumping up to the sixth position.
