Asian Games 2023: Ruturaj Gaikwad is one of the most promising and sought youngsters in the world. Many experts and ex-players are expecting a lot from him and considering his performances, they are right to do so.

The right-handed batsman has constantly performed in IPL and is also setting his foot in international cricket. As he finally got a chance against Ireland, he is the only batsman that has performed responsibly in the first two matches.

On talking about him being a leader, he stated that he has learned lots of things from MS Dhoni. And for a player that is considered to be the future leader of the Indian team, there can not be a better mentor.

He wants to get in their shoes and think about how they are thinking. It is important for him to stay in the moment as they can always look back at the things they did wrong after the match. For him, captaincy is about giving freedom to the players on the pitch.
